Hi Frugalistas! As 2015 comes to end I know many of you are thinking of plans for 2016. Regular readers will know I’m a great planner, so it comes as no surprise that I’m certainly planning to travel during 2016. There are plenty of reasons why I will be traveling in 2016 that I’ll be sharing with you as the year goes on, but there are also plenty of reasons why you need to travel in 2016.
You Need To Travel In 2016 To Feel Free
I love travel because it forces me to stop thinking about the day to day. Whether I’m traveling alone, or with Mr frugalfirstclass and MissG I never feel more “in the moment” than when I’m traveling. I never think about work. I never think about any other worries or stresses in my life. I just think about where I am and what I’m doing. I live my life in the present, and drink in every moment.
You Need To Travel In 2016 To Connect
Whether it is connecting as a family, or connecting with local communities wherever we are, I find travel the perfect way to connect with the world. I love learning about different cultures, history, customs and foods. I love the time we spend together when we travel as a family. Forget school, work, hobbies (and a blog!), we spend time learning, laughing and experiencing the world together. We swim, we explore, and we love to chill out by the pool at a fabulous resort. And we feel connected as a family because of it.
You Need To Travel In 2016 To Relax
Life gets busier. Time passes so quickly doesn’t it? Where does it all go? Do you ever make time to relax? A resort vacation like you find at Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific is the perfect way to relax. And of course, a relaxing trip should be relaxing to organize and achieve. It needs to be easy, effortless, doesn’t it? If planning or organizing your relaxing getaway is all too hard, why not consider a holiday club that does all the hard work for you? The only problem you’ll have is where to choose to go!
You Need To Travel In 2016 To Succeed In Life
Do you get so caught up with life that you are always running on empty? Traveling forces you to recharge the batteries. Even on a busy tour, just thinking about different things, and running to a different schedule is restful compared what life can be.
I don’t know about you, but whenever I’ve been traveling I return home in a completely different frame of mind. I come home a better wife and mother. And I definitely come home a better employee.
My mind is clearer. Problems that were unsolvable often have melted away in my absence. Difficult work colleagues seem less daunting to engage constructively with. Somehow I see life through a very different prism. And it does look rosier.
What are you waiting for? What are the reasons you need to travel in 2016?
I’d like to thank Wyndham Hotels Asia Pacific for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.
